The foundress of the  Congregation – Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey

The foundress of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny is Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey. May God be  glorified in all things and every where may His Holy  Will be done. This was the consuming desire of this dynamic woman.

She used every ounce of effort , her whole life through to carry out the mission “Education of the young” that she felt was entrusted to her by God.

Still today , 150 years after her death, her holiness, her virtues and her dynamic leadership are constantly attracting young girls to this Congregation where sisters of every nationality are continuing and developing the works of their foundress.
Thus her wonderful story continues here through the Sisters and through the Staff and pupils of Cluny School , Ranchi.
